Jennifer Mae Spooner
Is an Illustrator based in Birmingham, UK
Jen is currently having a ball on the MA Children's Book course at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge.
With children being her favourite demographic to aim towards, she uses her advantage of being a big kid to create fun, playful and positive pieces of work. This is mostly seen through her use of colour, quirky characters and the tiny details that can be found in her work. She is usually inspired by nature, animals and by stories that she makes up in her head.
Jen is diverse in the way that she works as she is constantly on the look-out for improvement and therefore she paints as well as does ceramics, digital art, repeat patterns/kidswear design, graphic design, illustration shows/fairs and children’s books.
When she's not play with her puppy, Goose, Jen is often reading a book, playing video games, going on walks, doing yoga, seeing her friends and drawing from life.
