Jennifer Mae Spooner
Is an Illustrator based in Birmingham, UK
Jen has recently completed her Masters Degree in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. It is there that Jen discovered her love of mono-printing, and working on top of them with paint, pencil, pastels and digital edits.
Jen uses her advantage of being a big kid to create fun, playful and positive pieces of work. This is mostly seen through her use of colour, quirky characters and the tiny details that can be found in her work. She is usually inspired by people watching (to be honest, it's mostly dog watching), video games, fantasy books and by playing around with materials.
When she's not playing with her puppy, Goose, Jen is often reading a book, running her life drawing class every 2 weeks, playing video games, going on walks, doing yoga, seeing her friends and drawing from life.
